Other people also brush their rugs while applying baby powder with cornstarch as one of the natural ways of cleaning an alpaca rug. For those who are lazy to care for their rugs, a simple vacuum will do as well as constant smoothing of surfaces. On the other hand, if you really care so much for your alpaca rug, you can clean it while using mild soap and warm water.
